Last week, I posted that two-time (unsuccessful) Anaheim City Council candidate Rudy Gaona had opened a committee to make a third run at a council seat.
Gaona is keeping his options open, because a few days later he filed paperwork to run for Mayor.
As I posted previously, Gaona finished eight out of nine candidate 2012 with 5.6%; and 14th out of 14 candidate in 2010 with 2.2% of the vote.
Currently, the only official mayoral candidates are incumbent Mayor Tom Tait and Gaona. Councilwoman Lucille Kring is expected to throw her hat into the ring, as is former Councilwoman Lorri Galloway.
Gaona will have to make up his mind which (if any) office he is running for by the March 2014 filing deadline.
Former Mayor Pro Tem Lorri Galloway who along with Former Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle successfuly governed with a kindness and freedom friendly platform and Anaheim Ambasador Lucille Kring who is a strong advocate for private property rights (she voted to save San Pedros gate property and historically significant 5 Points Building) are strong candidates. I wonder if Jerry O’Connell will be running again? He did quite well in a previous race.
