More than 100 local residents, small business owners, civic leaders and state officials gathered at the Honda Center’s newly opened Grand Terrace on Monday to help re-elect Gail Eastman to the Anaheim City Council. The support was overwhelming and exceeded all expectations.

In total, close to $75,000 was pledged to support Gail’s vision of peace and prosperity in the City of Anaheim!

This election is critical to ensuring Anaheim can remain a place where all residents and businesses can flourish. In the coming weeks, a new campaign website will be debuted that will communicate ways to help Gail and her positions on the issues.

$75,000 is an impressive number, and to put it in perspective, consider that Eastman raised $60,417 and spent $57,331 to get elected in 2010. Granted, she was also the beneficiary of considerable independent expenditures that year – but the coalition that supported her then is still intact and behind her now. Plus, she has the advantage of incumbency this time around.
