The group gives the award to those who “have made significant contributions to their communities and truly exemplify the power of the human-canine bond.”

Bruno won in the category for Uniformed Service K-9.

Winners will receive $1,000 to go to a pet-related charity of their choice, a one-year pet insurance policy and an engraved sterling silver medallion to be given at a Florida event in December.
