An alert reader in Anaheim who was contacted for a campaign survey last Tuesday took detailed notes and forwarded them to me – which I now share with Anaheim Blog readers:
1. How familiar are you with the following people or organizations? [List mayoral and council candidates?]
2. If the election were held today, who would be your first choice for mayor?
a. Who would be your second choice for mayor?3. If the election were held today, who would be your first choice for city council?

d. Member of the City Council Kris Murray
e. Army Captain & School Board Member James Vanderbilt5. Mayor Tait opposed the transfer of public money to a single hotelier as part of the Anaheim Garden Walk project. The three Republicans on the council, including Kris Murray and Gail Eastman forced the council to approve the transfer. On this issue, do you agree more with the mayor or with the council majority?
a. Does this make you more or less likely to vote for [MAYORAL AND COUNCIL CANDIDATES].
b. Mayor Tait advocated for a public vote on the transfer. Do you agree or disagree?6. Mayor Tait opposed a recent proposal to expand the convention center, which the council majority argued was necessary in order to attract some of the larger conventions. The mayor opposed this proposal, saying it was unnecessary and fiscally irresponsible. Do you agree more with the mayor or with the council majority?

f. The American Civil Liberties Union10. Age

Anyone else notice that voters were NOT asked about Team Tait member Doug Pettibone, but were asked about James Vanderbilt and Jose Moreno?
Our alert did not know, and neither do I, who commissioned the poll. However, judging by the nature of the questions, I suspect it was either the Tait campaign or an independent, pro-Tait interest.
More proof that Tait is a bald faced liar – and usin his office to mislead Anaheim residents. There was no transfer of public money and Murray and Eastman voted for this program, they didn’t force it – it was recommended by the city staff based on the new funding it generates. Tait is dishonest and dishonorable. He needs to go.
SO when CATER LAWYER insists that pols running a similarly worded poll in neighboring Santa Ana should be run out of town on a rail. I have to wonder…….Is there a city in OC where Diamond doesn’t interfere?
What a peice of (out of) work.
