(Anaheim) – Mayor Pro Tem Kris Murray has been endorsed by the Lincoln Club of Orange County in her race for reelection to the Anaheim City Council, her campaign announced today. The esteemed organization is dedicated to protecting individual freedoms and economic growth through lower taxes and limited government.

“The Lincoln Club seeks to promote good government by supporting the candidates who espouse the ideals of limited government, lower taxes, expanded freedom and the rule of law. We look forward to working with you in promoting these ideals when you are elected,” Lincoln Club officials said in a letter announcing the endorsement.

Murray is also supported by a host of Republican leaders in Orange County including Congressman Ed Royce, State Senator Bob Huff, State Senator Mimi Walters, State Assembly Member Don Wagner, State Assembly Member Travis Allen, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackackaus, Supervisor Shawn Nelson, Supervisor Todd Spitzer, Supervisor Janet Nguyen, Supervisor Pat Bates and dozens of city leaders countywide.

“I’m honored to receive the support of the Lincoln Club, a significant organization aimed at bringing positive change in government,” Murray said. “As a strong fiscal conservative, I’m proud to fight for jobs and economic development in our city. In fact, this year we not only balanced the city’s budget, we returned dollars to the city’s general fund. Our council also passed historic pension reform, protecting the future for our residents.”
