Anaheim Councilman Jordan Brandman will kick-off his campaign for the 46th Congressional District next week.
When: Monday, August 10, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Sheraton Park Hotel, 1855 S. Harbor Blvd. Anaheim
Brandman, a Democrat, is squaring off against former state Senator Lou Correa, also a Democrat. CD46 is open because the long-time incumbent, Rep. Loretta Sanchez, is running for U.S. Senate.
Voter registration in CD46 is 46.8% Democrat, 27.5% Republican and 21.7% No Party Preference. It includes Santa Ana, the Anaheim flatlands and Orange west of the 55 Freeway:
Correa represented most of CD46 over the course of serving in the state Assembly (1998-2004), OC Board of Supervisores (2005-2006) and state Senate (2006-2014). Brandman (obviously), represents all of Anaheim and grew up in Orange.
