From Wincome Hospitality:
The Anaheim Hotel, a Wincome Hospitality managed property, recently gave back to the community in a major way. On April 11th, 2019, the newly renovated hotel across from Disneyland® Resort and near the Anaheim Convention Center, opened their arms by offering a generous donation of 145 32-inch flat screen TVs, 142 Queen flat sheets, 1,400 pillow cases, 80 mattress covers, 60 duvet covers, and 20 duvet inserts to Orange County’s Illumination Foundation. Several members of The Anaheim Hotel’s engineering and housekeeping teams assisted two members of the Illumination Foundation load all the items for delivery to their nearby offices.
General Manager of The Anaheim Hotel, Nathan Fitzgerald said “With the property going through a multi-phase renovation, including updating our guest rooms with new 55-inch flat screen TVs and new bedding, we saw this as a perfect opportunity to help the homeless by working with a worthy organization like the Illumination Foundation.”
According to the Illumination Foundation, who is dedicated to completely breaking the cycle of homelessness within the local community, there are over 55,000 homeless people across Southern California each year. The Illumination Foundation has provided over 1,000,000 safe shelter nights to the community’s most vulnerable homeless families and individuals to date.
President & CEO of the Illumination Foundation, Paul Leon said “The generous donation from The Anaheim Hotel will be utilized in the La Mesa Shelter in Anaheim that Illumination Foundation operates as well as in our various housing facilities across Orange County, LA County and the Inland Empire. Donated items such as these allow us to create a warm environment that evokes a sense of comfort and home for the homeless families and individuals we serve. We are grateful for the generous support of The Anaheim Hotel and the positive impact they are helping us to make as a community.”

About The Anaheim Hotel
The Anaheim Hotel is a three-diamond resort hotel situated on nine acres of landscaped gardens, directly across from Disneyland® Resort. The family-friendly property offers 306 guest rooms, an Olympic-sized pool and spa, 6,800 square feet of flexible meeting space, and an on-site restaurant, The Pizza Press. For more information on The Anaheim Hotel, visit www.TheAnaheimHotel.com or follow @TheAnaheimHotel on Instagram and Facebook.
FYI, Wincome is the holder of 2 Four Diamond Tax Rebate program rights. One is the Westin currently being built, and for the location where the Anaheim Hotel is located. So the major refurbishment does show that a Four Star is not being built anytime soon.
Big Kudos for the donation, Wincome could have sold the items to a Hotel Reseller for a significant amount of cash.
Hopefully the refreshed rooms will make many folks coming to check out Galaxy Edge happy.
