From the City of Anaheim:
The Anaheim Housing Authority will be accepting pre-applications online for the Housing Choice Voucher program waiting list beginning: Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:00 am and closing on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 6:59 pm.
Pre-applications will only be accepted online through this website. Applications will not be accepted at the Housing Authority offices.
You must qualify for the Live or Work in Anaheim preference to apply.
This website is for the Section 8 Tenant-Based waiting list ONLY, and not the Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program. If you are interested in applying for the Project-Based Voucher waiting list, please click here.
The Anaheim Housing Authority will accept only 10,000 applications. If more than 10,000 applications are received, a lottery will be performed to randomly determine which applications will be accepted to the waiting list. Additionally, the lottery will determine in which order applications are placed on the waiting list. This means that applicants have an equal chance of placement and order on the waiting list if they apply on any date and any time during which the waiting list is open.
Once you’ve applied, you can check back on this site after August 14, 2019. You will also be sent an email indicating if your application was accepted to the waiting list. This email will be sent to the email address you provide at the time of application.
Applicants who do not have access to a computer or mobile device can apply at the Anaheim Library locations listed below.
