Disneyland Resort’s westside parking expansion project is one step closer to completion with the addition of the new pedestrian bridge over Magic Way. The parking structure and bridge continue efforts to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow around the resort.
Guests may now choose to either ride a resort tram from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures, or walk across the 174-foot-long bridge through Downtown Disney District to reach the Main Entrance esplanade. The walkway includes a new, beautifully landscaped path from the bridge to the entrance of Downtown Disney District, where visitors can enjoy the stroll to dining, shops and entertainment.
Completion of the pedestrian bridge comes on the heels of the opening of the $100 million, 6,500 space Pixar Pals parking structure. All of this work is part of Disney’s commitment to invest $1.5 billion into the Anaheim Resort district.
