Westin Anaheim Resort

The Westin Anaheim Resort, located next to the Anaheim Convention Center on the site of the old Ana Bella Hotel, is now scheduled for an October 2020 grand opening, delayed a few months by the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new 4-Diamond property will feature seven restaurants, including Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, and Puesto, offering authentic Mexican cuisine. The hotel’s signature restaurant, the Tangerine Room, will serve California inspired dishes and RISE Rooftop Bar offers tapas and cocktails. Other amenities include an outdoor pool and a 3,600-square-foot fitness center.

The property’s two largest spaces are the 16,100-square-foot Annabelle Ballroom which has more than 3,000 square feet of pre-function space, and the smaller  Carousel Ballroom. A 3,500-square-foot rooftop terrace is designed for up to 200 guests and has views of the nightly fireworks at Disneyland.

The hotel will be the first Westin built in Southern California in 25 years. The $245-million luxury hotel boasts 618 guest rooms and suites and nearly 50,0000 square feet of meeting and event space across 23 flexible venues. Owner Wincome Properties broke ground on the project in September 2017, and the new hotel survived a failed attempt by militant UNITE-HERE Local 11 to revoke its developments via two ballot referendums. Voters decisively rejected the union’s deceptive attempt to derail the hotel and a separate Wincome 4-Diamond project on the site of the current Anaheim Hotel.

The new hotel will create thousands of permanent and construction jobs and generate tens of millions in tax revenues for the city in the years to come.
