Visit Anaheim, the official destination marketing organization (DMO) for Anaheim, has announced booking 148 conventions, meetings, and events for the year 2024. The anticipated economic impact from these gatherings is expected to exceed $1.5 billion, benefiting the local community. The Anaheim Convention Center will host 50 conventions, contributing to a total of 77 meetings and 21 events, which are expected to generate approximately $15 million in tourism occupancy tax (TOT) revenue for the city.

The influx of events will bring in over 947,000 attendees to Anaheim, contributing to 610,000 room nights in local hotels. NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, one of Visit Anaheim’s major clients, is set to kick off the year with an event hosting 75,000 attendees and nearly 25,000 room nights. This exceeds last year’s figures and is estimated to bring about $120 million in economic impact to the city through attendee activities such as dining, shopping, and entertainment.

“We’re thrilled that NAMM has called Anaheim home for nearly 50 years,” said Ronnie Collins, Senior Vice President, Sales & Services, Visit Anaheim. “Now that they’re back to their regular programming in January for the first time since 2020, we anticipate a high impact event, building on the rich history and vibrant musical community that they’ve nurtured here in Anaheim.”

The Anaheim Convention Center, hosting an average of one million attendees annually, plays a crucial role in generating the year-round tourism that funds Anaheim city services.

Notable conventions scheduled to return to the center this year include Natural Products Expo West, WonderCon, VidCon, D23, and more.
